Transform your life - break that New Years resolution now!
Happy New Year to you and your resolutions – all of them! From your long list of resolutions either committed to paper, shared with a friend or between you and the Gremlins in your head. How many have you broken already? How many did you make? How are you feeling right now?
Why do we set ourselves up for failure every January when we know that only 8% of us will get close to keeping one of those items on the list? One reason is that for so many of us we long to change something in our life. For some it’s a small change for others its transformational. Wherever you are on the continuum for change in your life I would like to suggest the following to give you a high percentage chance of achieving it:
Imagine your life in 1,5,10,20 years from now (Pick a time that feels good to you it could be next week) What are you doing, how are you living, what are people saying about you? Dare to dream here. Don’t hold back, be honest with yourself.
Think of the changes you need to make in your life now to support you to live the life you want– if it’s a long list pick the top two.
What small change can you commit to today to get you on the road to your vision of the future? Get someone to hold you to account for this change and make it real.
